VELVET DIVORCE after 30 years—a mistake? (Bye bye Czechoslovakia)

One of the Czech’s biggest pet peeves is when foreigners still call them Czechoslovakia. It’s an honest mistake—especially when Czechs themselves can’t make up their minds about whether to be called Czechia or the Czech Republic. 🙄

When foreigners call it Czechoslovakia, they mean no harm. But it can be a tad hurtful, because it reveals ignorance about a absolutely crucial event in Czech and Slovak history - the Velvet Divorce! So I made this video to try to fix that.
